2025 exhibition: Venice Street Geometry
Throughout the urban landscape, geometric shapes are everywhere; being most clearly revealed, sometimes ostentatiously, in architecture and urban design, and photographing such forms is tempting in its own right. Yet, there are also the hidden geometries; the subtle geometry of the street; forms that are only revealed with the passage of the sun and shadow; observed fleetingly through movement, or when someone or something enters the frame.
These photographs present a personal, abstract-realistic impression of Venice, as seen through my eyes, and through my lens. Some geometric forms may be obvious, others less so, but my aim through my images is to inspire and invite you to explore the streets and seek for yourselves the geometry that surrounds us; invariably, it is well worth the effort.
